Voraussetzungen zur Teilnahme: Gefährliche Ladung, Schiffstheorie, Zwischenprüfung.
Lehrinhalte sind die nach STCW A-II/1 zu erwerbenden Kompetenzen: Reagieren auf Notfälle/in Seenot, Vermeidung von Verschmutzung der Meeresumwelt, Seetüchtigkeit des Schiffes, Verhütung, Kontrolle und Bekämpfung von Bränden an Bord, Rettungsmitteln an Bord, Führungs- und Teamfähigkeit, Sicherheit von Personal und Schiff.
++++++++Prerequisites for participation: Dangerous cargo, ship theory, Intermediate examination.
Course content covers the competencies to be acquired as per STCW A-II/1: Respond to emergencies, respond to distress at sea, pollution prevention, seaworthiness of the ship, prevent, control and fight fires on board, operating LSA, compliance with legislative requirements, leadership and teamworking skills, safety of personnel and ship.

Course in accordance with STCW 78, as amended and STCW Code for training and certification of personnel required to operate GMDSS equipment.
Pre-conditions for participation: successful completion of modules>
Nautical basic studies, 6 months seagoing service, Maritime English.
Physical presence in the lectures is prerequisite to admission to the flag State observed exam and consequently obtaining a GOC certificate.
